Quite a lot has changed since the last release of Monkey Shines. The installation is a little bit more complex, but we think the benefits to the game are worth it.
Step 1
Copy the Monkey Shines application and the file "Monkey Shines Data" to your hard disk. It doesn't matter where they are as long as they are in the same folder.
Step 2
If you have enough disk space, copy the world files, "Bonzo World 1", "Bonzo World 2", "Bonzo World 3", "Bonzo World 4" and "Bonzo World 5" to your hard disk. Ideally they should be in the same folder as the Monkey Shines application, but they could be anywhere, even on a CDROM if you don't have enough hard disk space free.
Step 3
Open the folder called "Required System Extensions". Inside you will find instructions which will allow you to decide which extensions to install for your system.
These files are the most recent version of Apple Game Sprockets at the time of release. Newer versions may be released in the future, so be careful not to replace the version you have with an older version.
Step 4
Restart your computer.
Step 5
Enjoy Monkey Shines.
Configuring Controls
We have provided default settings for playing Monkey Shines with the keyboard and mouse. If you want to change these settings, or want to use another input device supported by InputSprocket, click the "Controls" button, then select the device you want to configure from the list on the left of the dialog, and configure it by clicking on control elements and set their behaviour using the pop-up menus.
